I don't know if you are into build your own computer, but it's very similar to PC motherboard reviews. The real tone cable also worked in the Rocksmith+ beta, so it's also like future proofing. I know plenty of people who have had the same cable since 2011 when the first Rocksmith game came out, and the same cable works perfectly fine. As long as you aren't rolling over the cable with an office chair (with you in it) multiple times, you should be fine. Rocksmith Note Guide (aka what is this symbol?)įor what it's worth, most people complain about the real tone cable's durability. See how you Rank Worldwide with Rocksmith Buddy! Rocksmith+ is a follow-up to the original Rocksmith franchise, with a major change to a subscription-based music education service. It dynamically adjusts the difficulty to your skill level, then slowly introduces more notes and phrases until you’re playing your favorite songs note-for-note. It's sad that Ubisoft didn't provide those information either in the first place too but that's a common plague for audio equipement sadly.Rocksmith is a music video game series which aims to teach guitar by letting you plug in virtually any guitar or bass and becomes your personal guitar teacher as it monitors how you play. It could be interested to actually get real technical specification (signal/noise ratio, gain and all the other little techy stuff) on the real tone cable to get a good appreciation of the quality and be able to compare things a little further but that requires tool that i don't personally have. The real tone cable also assure you a minimal latency via wasabi driver which might not be a given with cheapest interface but data on that can be a pain to get if it even exist. Note that those 30$ also includes the time saved for fiddling with file that not everyone wanna/are willing to do which can easily be worth the almost 20$ difference with the cheapest option out there. So in the end for 30$ price tag, that cable isn't that expensive. There's probably some other option but that was the first to come by with a quick search. The T.Bone 1G though i can't find any other reseller than Thomann for about 13$ and once again limited to 44.1kHz. The Lindy USB Guitar cable is at 45$ on amazon (around 20€ in french shop) but i haven't found any info on the frequency supported and no aditionnal software comes with it. The Alesis guitar link plus is at 60$ on amazon but i was able to find it in France for 30€ (same price as the real tone cable) and it doesn't support the 48kHz frequency needed for RS but it comes with a lite version of guitar rig as a bonus. Haven't tried both but i'll try to give some insight in why i think the Cable isn't just a disguised DRM (it is surely one).įirst let's take a look at the product that are supposed to do the same thing for approximately the same/lower price, well the search don't get us far : It's just the cable thing that bothers me a lot, and the rest of the Internet ain't really helping me with that. Once again, I own both Rocksmith games on Steam as well as dozens of DLCs and I absolutely love them. I hope my question doesn't break any rules of this subreddit. Is there anyone who succesfully experienced Rocksmith both cracked and the way it's meant to be played? Will I get any noise via Real Tone cable? How's the quality with it? Any other advantages? A firsthand comparison would be amazing. And since the cable is still going to cost some money, I'd love to know if it's really worth buying in that case. exe before the game is that I get a tolerable chunk of background noise while playing. The only ugly side of it apart from the need of starting an additional. I've managed to achieve low latency, and the sound I get with a regular line-in isn't crystal clear, but it's not terrible either. The thing is, I'm not really having any troubles with the game as it is. But recently I found a local store that has a decent deal on it and considered getting it all official. I've been playing Rocksmith 2014 for quite a while using a no cable crack (the game is totally legit, though) since there was no way I could find a Real Tone cable anywhere around.
